Helloo i just wanted to celebrate my hair journey so far~ specially right now in the beginning of 2025. I received so much compliments about my hair from friends and family that I'm a bit delulu now im doing something right with my locks haha. I've been giving my hair a bit more attention in the last year partly because of my wedding last april i wanted nice hair, but even after my wedding i still kept growing my hair out because i didn't want to spend money on hair salons but do feel HEAVILY pressured to get a wolf cut, or like butterfly layers because they are so beautiful!!! Due to language barrier and lack of energy to find a salon that fit my needs (heavy on the lack of energy lmao i dont want to leave the house), in the end i told myself that i will be just growing out my hair and take care of it the best way i can so i can style it in a way i would feel good about myself and not feel left out by beautiful haircuts.
After our trip to Thailand last May 2024 I picked up &Honey Melty Moist set to try out. It was really good switch for me! Beforehand i was just using drug store brands shampoo and conditioner, and while they worked, &Honey was better because it's formulated with my hair type and porosity level. I sadly ran out of the conditioner last 2 months ago and they are quite expensive to buy again all the way from Asia, so thankfully we have a Tsubaki supplier on Amazon, I switched to that now and it's working really well for me so far! I bought just the refill and poured it on my &Honey bottle! No one's gonna knowww....
Another hair oil i use is L'Oreal Elseve Extraordinary Oil Serum (for asian hair type) this works soooo good on my hair. I think it works better than my &Honey Melty Moist hair oil to be honest.. I also picked this up in Thailand so im kinda fuuuuucked when i run out because i still cannot find it anywhere here in Europe/Germany. I really love it and it's one of my holy grail products EASILY.
As for hair tools these are the ones i use the most~! Remington ONE Straight and Curl Styler and a generic 38mm curling barrel from Amazon. They work really well for my needs and i only do two hairstyles anyway, straight and loose curls. I usually air dry my hair but i also have a Xiaomi hairdryer that i seldom use. Despite my hair being long, it doesn't take much time to dry it, surprisingly!
My best friend the hair bonnet! I've been using this for 2 years ahaha maybe i should get a 2nd one at this point but these are truly my hair life partner. At first i bought it to wear at home at all times because i was so frustrated with my shedding hair on the floor EVERYWHERE. Drove me fucking nuts. But it also ended up being such a blessing for my hair's overall health and looks because: it keeps my hair clean (smell nice even after cooking), prevent frizz especially at night when sleeping, and preserve my curls or my straightened hair! It does so much for me that after 2 years of wearing it i actually don't notice any massive hairfall or shedding anymore even in the shower or when brushing my hair. Also the longer my hair gets the more i need to use these because its just easier to move around when nothing is flinging here and there and they are all secured.
Wella EIMI Extra Volume mousse. This is a product im currently testing and seeing how my hair reacts to, but so far so good. it's compatible with my hair serums and is not sticky at all when i apply with my hands. It also works even when im just air drying my hair so it's convenient for me in all aspects. I decided to add mousse to my routine to preserve my hairstyle a bit longer. I wanted longevity but also bounce and movement, unlike hairspray where it tends to stiff and crisps up my hair.
There you have it thank you for reading im quite surprised i wrote a lot for this post ahahah but i hope whoever reads this find a nugget of info useful! It would be interesting to see how my hair changes over time and im excited to see how long i can keep it growing. Or maybe i will go trim them an inch or two or maybe a dramatic change. Who knows but i just want to say im enjoying this length and im happy i found a routine that works for me. another life aspect streamlined means less stress for my brain figuring things out everyday. Yay hairmaxxing.
