All about Snifflebear...
this website was made to be an outlet for my creative expression and hobbies. I needed a place and a home outside of giant social media sites and so snifflebear.moe was born. It's hosted on blogspot and I am using a default layout that i've heavily modified throughout the years. I didn't code this from scratch pls i am noob. I focus more on visual aspects of keeping a coherent blog and only learning snippets of code necessary to get the look i want.
๐ค Why Snifflebear? I really like the teddybear energy! it's soft, comfy, huggable, sleepy, gives a sense of security and personal space. And sniffle/s because I've adapted it as my web alias. Together i thought it creates a picture of a gloomy rainy day with your teddybear. Or something like that!
๐ค Why blogspot? Even though this blog only existed since september 2023, I've actually been blogging on this platform since 2009. It's comfy for me and I always get the hit of nostalgia that back in my golden days of blogging/getting sponsors, this is where most people blogged, or tumblr, or wordpress. i would say blogspot is for people who dabbled a bit of html here and there but did not commit. We were running away from tumblr at that time for some reason.. I guess just to seperate personal posts from reblogged content.
๐ค Who's your blog mascot? I'm so glad you asked! My blog mascot is Melancholy Bear, or Melakuma. She's the face of this blog. You will see her a lot more around. I really want to draw her more and give her a bit of smol lore. I will update this space once theres a bit more info. You will also see Kuromi here and there. She's one of my fave sanrio characters.
